Brother Tommie's Commentary
Introducing the 6th Chapter: The Sixth Chapter is full of mysteries and hidden manna. To understand what we are looking at it is important to realize several things. One is that the four horses of the Apocalypse actually cover the whole ride of the Antichrist, this is why they are given for us to see. They will cover his entire ride during Daniel’s 70th week or what many call the seven years of Tribulation. Another is that the seven seals also cover the last seven years up to and including the return of Christ at Armageddon. The first four seals will reveal the ride of the Antichrist plus certain things that are happening in Israel during his ride. The fifth seal speaks of the martyred dead that are killed by the Antichrist and his henchmen during the last seven years. The sixth seal is an account of the Rapture and moments before the return of Christ at Armageddon. The sixth seal will also include the seventh chapter that will show a special elite group of Jews and a number that no man can count of saints that are saved. This is the result of the rapture and the sacrifice made by many including the 144,000. The seventh seal is found in the eighth chapter and is only one verse long. It is thirty minutes of silence in heaven. The reason for this silence will be the fact that Christ and the saints will be on the earth bringing the Antichrist to destruction at the battle of Armageddon. It will only take thirty minutes. The seals, the trumpets and vials of wrath do not occur in consecutive order but are running parallels with many events being shown in repetition. These different views will make the last seven years a lot clearer than we have known in the past. The next thing to realize is that the four beasts around the throne symbolize Israel’s encampment in the wilderness. They will serve as a significant role in understanding the four seals that they announce. Each one of these creatures represents three different tribes. The reason they do is because each one of these beasts was on the banners of the four encampments around the tabernacle. Each one of these encampments had three tribes in them. Each tribe was named after one of Jacob’s children. Their names and what was said at their birth will tell us what is happening to the nation of Israel during the first four seals. Remember these four seals are the total ride of the Antichrist and will end at Armageddon, likewise these four beasts will tell a mystery of Israel during the last seven years. 1: And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard,
as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and
see. It is no wonder that this first seal begins with the Lion, which was the banner of Judah. The Holy land of Israel today, in God’s eyes, is still under banner of the Lion. Here we see God focusing his attention on this group of people once again. In the three and a half years previous to the seven-year Tribulation the focus of salvation is on the Jewish people in the Western Hemisphere. Now, Christ will be focused on the East, and by the end of this seven-year period, he will have brought the whole house of Israel together, both East and West to be joined together with the Gentile Bride. Together, the Gospel will go to the whole world, in a final effort to save the world before Armageddon. Here are the names of the first group of sons born under the banner of the Lion, the meanings of their names, and the prophecies that were spoken at their birth. By looking at these three sons, we are able to see what is happening in Israel, during the first seal in Revelation 6. It is only natural that God would tell us about Israel's spiritual birth at the time of their natural birth. He hid this event from us, but is now revealing them to us by his Spirit. Judah’s name means "praised." At his birth his mother said, "now will I
praise the Lord." In Daniel 9:27, it says that the anti-Christ will confirm the covenant with many for one week. In prophecy, this week is a week of years, or seven years. In Daniel 11:28, the Bible calls this, the covenant that he confirms, the Holy Covenant. No man can make a Holy Covenant. Only God can make a Holy Covenant. This covenant is the same covenant that God made with Abraham - that the land of Israel belongs to the children of Israel! He will not be the leader of world peace, but will be one of Israel’s old enemies from the Middle East. His signing this agreement with Israel brings a great sigh of relief from them. They will believe that peace has been secured for them at last, and that God has accomplished this. We can see how happy they will be feeling by looking at the son, Judah. His mother said, "Now will I praise the Lord." Praising God for peace at last, Israel will begin to turn to Him from the heart. What they are unaware of, are the warnings of Paul, "When they shall say peace and safety, then, sudden destruction cometh." The name Judah means praised. By this, we can see how all the nations praise Israel for working so hard to comply with all the demands of this peace treaty. Everyone is happy. In the name Issachar, we can see this feeling. "God hath given me my hire." In other words, we have been given what we deserve. Personally, I feel that they deserve it as well. And, we see their relationship with God by the meaning of Issachar’s name, "man of hire." This strongly suggests a revival of Mosaic Law, or works, for salvation. Israel will become so enthusiastic about the Law, believing that this peace treaty is a sign from Heaven, telling them that the Messiah will soon come to Israel. We can see this in the name Zebulun. His mother said, "God hath endued me with a good dowry; now will my husband dwell with me because I have born him six sons." God gives us a wonderful insight into a great mystery. Before the tribulation comes, the Jews in the Western part of the world will be saved. These are the Jews under the banner of Ephraim, or the Ox. If you remember, Ephraim and Judah are the divided house of Israel. The number six is very revealing, because six is half of twelve, and twelve is the whole house of Israel. These six sons symbolizes that half of the house of Israel has already been saved. In the second seal, we will see what an effect they will have on the land of Israel. God himself divided Israel giving Ephraim the northern kingdom all are under his banner the ox, and Judah the southern kingdom all of which are under the banner of Lion. We realize that Ephraim has been reborn by the Ox in Rev. 4 now being a calf, this calf is a baby ox, but the Lion is still an old lion, not a lion cub, which tells us that Judah is still unsaved. The number six being half of twelve is a symbol, it doesn't mean that out of 13 million Jews, 6 and a half million have been saved, it is symbolic.. It means that Ephraim has been saved. God must save both houses before all of Israel will be saved and that is just exactly what he is about to do. We are about to see Judah the other half of Israel receive Christ as their savior. You see when Israel was driven into all the nations of the world. In God's eyes they had to return to the habitation that they had while they were living in the wilderness, before coming to the promised land, Ephraim in the west, Judah in the East. There are six million Jews living in America and 4.7 million living in Israel. There are still 2.3 million living in the other nations. God has provided two main gathering places for the Jews. For the last two hundred years the Jews have gradually been emigrating to one of two places either America or Israel. God had told Ezekiel that he would make two sticks of them before they would become one. This means that the Jews in America will have already been saved at this point in our scriptures. They will be saved before the tribulation begins, the first seal of course is the beginning of the tribulation period of which will last seven years. They also believe that surely the Messiah will come to them now. So, they will begin to plan on a place for Him to live. The rebuilding of the temple? The name Zebulun means, A dwelling place. They will begin to rebuild the temple at this point, with much zeal, hoping to see the Messiah very soon. Zebulun’s mother said: Now will my husband dwell with me! They will begin to expect this with great enthusiasm. Finally, their Messiah is coming. Within just a few days of the Lord sharing this mystery with me. I was watching the news on cnn. They were doing a human interest interview from Israel. The reporter was talking to an orthodox Jewish priest about some things that were taking place in Israel. Overhead was a large canvas sign stretched across the street with the announcement that the Messiah was coming soon. The reporter asked this priest what they were intending to do since they were believing that all of the signs were pointing to the coming of the Messiah? He replied much to my excitement that they were going to build him a place to live. The reporter asked him where are you going to build him a place to live? The answer was that they intended to rebuild the temple for him as soon as possible. I was amazed at that answer because it was exactly what God had told me they were going to do. And that this is what this prophecy was saying!! I never dreamed that the Jewish people would plan on the Messiah living in the temple itself, but that is exactly what they are planning on doing. I have often wondered over that amazing coincident that just seemed to happen. Did God allow this to be on CNN just to confirm to me that he was telling me the truth? Would God go to that much trouble? I believe he did, and I accept it as that. As we go through these scriptures you will realize that there is just to much here for it to be a mere coincidence. Many people are expecting the temple to be rebuilt before the tribulation begins, but this shows that it will happen during the first Seal during the same time frame as the Rider on the white horse. The signing of the Peace treaty will begin these events. Let's look at verses one and two again. 2: And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him
had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering,
and to conquer. Daniel 9:27: This is not a covenant that he invents himself. It says that he confirms the covenant with many for one week. The covenant he confirms is already in existence, he simply agrees to it. He signs a treaty with Israel that agrees with a covenant that they have already made with someone else. He is not the leader of world peace or the man with all the solutions to the world’s problems. This covenant that he agrees with is the Holy Covenant. A Holy Covenant is one that God makes with someone. Only God can make a Holy Covenant. This covenant is the covenant that God made with Abraham and his seed, that all the land of Israel is theirs, according to his promise. He will simply sign this covenant, along with many other nations who are Israel’s enemies, giving them the right to live in the land that God gave to them, in peace, a trial treaty that will last seven years, and cause great joy in Israel. He will be one of Israel’s enemies who has no intention of keeping his word. He uses this treaty to gain support from the nations that he wants to become his allies. He will not be the king of Spain, the leader of the New World order, or the president of the United States. He will not form a one-world government, but will be from a nation who believes in Mohammed, possibly a Syrian, or from Iraq. He will use this peace treaty to sit at the same table with other nations who believe as he does. These countries who support him will all be of the Muslim faith. Mohammed will be their God. He will become the common enemy of the United States, her allies, Israel, and Russia, herself. In this first seal he has not come to power yet! He will be the leader of a small Islamic country. He will have a plan to form a secret league with some of the other Islamic countries. Daniel 11:21-23: He will have a small country compared to the world powers, but will eventually become a fierce enemy to try to conquer. The white horse he rides is the horse of peace. It is not something he has invented, it is a spirit sent from God, (Zechariah 6:1-8). This horse has been in the world for a long time. It goes into the Middle East and he rides it. He simply uses it to buy himself some time to gain support for his plans. Israel will experience peace under this first seal. 3: And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second
beast say, Come and see. The three tribal leaders under the banner of the calf are Ephraim, Manasseh, and Benjamin. All of these are Joseph’s closest family. Ephraim and Manasseh are his two sons. Benjamin was Joseph’s only true brother born from Rachel who was Joseph’s mother as well. Since we are actually looking at Joseph’s house it is safe to assume that Joseph should be a part of this and he is. Joseph’s name means, "the Lord shall add." His mother Rachel at the time of his birth said, "the Lord has taken away my reproach, and the Lord will give me another son." (Genesis 30:24) This is what Christ will do for Israel during the second seal, he will begin to add souls to the kingdom of God and will remove the reproach that Israel has had in the past by refusing to accept Jesus as their savior. Ephraim’s name means "doubly fruitful." Joseph said, "for God hath
caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction." (Gen.
41:52) In the second seal, we begin to see another change in the nation of Israel. God will begin bringing salvation, through the redemptive work of Christ. Missionaries from other nations will begin to preach the Gospel in Israel. A special group of Christian Jews will be born again under this seal. They will be despised and rejected by many people in Israel, but the impact of their message of the Gospel will be planted in every heart in Israel. This group of Christian Jews will be the 144,000, taken from every tribe in Israel, twelve thousand from each of the twelve tribes. They will become the first fruits unto God and the Lamb. We see a picture of their salvation in the name of Joseph, which means the Lord shall add. Christ comes to Israel through the preaching of missionaries, and he is adding children to the Kingdom of God from the nation of Israel. Joseph was Rachel’s first born son, who was rejected by his brethren. They all despised him, except for Benjamin. Israel, for the most part, will reject the 144,000, except for a small group who will be born again, through their preaching. The name of Ephraim is very exciting when placed in this second seal. His name means doubly fruitful. Does this sound like a double portion to you? At his birth Joseph said," for God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction." Using Joseph as a shadow of Christ, which by the way he was, we can see Jesus saying that God has caused him to be fruitful in the land of his affliction. His land of affliction was Israel and now he is going to be fruitful in that land by saving thousands of souls in Israel. The next son, Benjamin, reveals more of what is happening. The name Benjamin means son of the right hand. This represents the beginning of the salvation of the Remnant of Israel. Remember that his mother tried to name him Benoni, meaning son of my sorrow? Most of this Remnant will later be saved in a Gentile land, far from the Holy Land. The nation of Israel is very confused at this time. As you know by the first seal, they have become very dedicated to the Law of Moses. They are rebuilding the temple, expecting the Messiah at any time. All of a sudden, there are Christians popping up all over Israel. They will fear that all of Israel will become converted to this Gentile God called Jesus. They will not understand what God is doing in Israel, and will become very sorrowful, because of all these children of Israel converted to Jesus. What they will not realize is that all of this is the work of God. Benjamin’s name means Son of the right hand. The Remnant that God begins to save will be very much like Jesus, who is the Son of the Right Hand of God. The next son was Manasseh. His name means to forget. Joseph said, at his birth, "For God hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house." This is very revealing. Up until now, the nation of Israel, as a whole, have rejected Jesus. But, now, they will begin to receive Him. This makes Jesus so happy. He is so excited about the birth of these children of Israel. It causes Him to forget all the rejection and suffering that He experienced from them in the past. Israel is forgiven, and Jesus will not remember their past anymore. He will stand for Israel as His married wife from now on. 4: And there went out another horse that was red: and power was
given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they
should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great
sword. The rider in this scripture is the same man. He is the anti-Christ, only he has changed horses. He is also given a great sword. The red horse he rides is the horse of war. This horse is also sent from God, and the anti-Christ takes advantage of it, and uses it to increase his kingdom. At this point, Satan begins to work hand in hand with this person. Daniel 8:24: II Thessalonians 2:9: Revelation 13:4: In this seal the anti-Christ and his nation invade the king of the south. In Daniel 11:25, we see this invasion. And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast their devices against him. The king of the south could possibly be the nation of Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has a very well equipped army. They have all the modern weapons of warfare that the United States and her Allies have supplied to her. She is very wealthy, with vast oil deposits. She is a very attractive target indeed. The Antichrist and his armies invade the king of the south with a fierceness that is unequaled in the history of the Middle East. He conquers this nation but only stays long enough to gather the things he wants to steal and leaves. He will take arms, gold, aircraft, and ships to use in his own army. The rest of the Middle Eastern countries are very impressed with this leader. There has never been one of their own become so powerful in the past. They will definitely believe that God is with him. But, why does he leave this country instead of occupying it? The Bible does not say, but I believe that the Super Powers warn him to get out, so he takes as many goods as he can and leaves. But it is still a great victory for him. All of the eyes of the Middle East are on him. The king of the South is also killed by his own people, and another king takes his place, who will try to negotiate a treaty with the anti-Christ. In Daniel 11:27, it shows this negotiation take place. And both of the kings’ hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed. The king of the south will agree to become an ally of the anti-Christ, but is lying when he says it. The anti-Christ makes him promises that he does not plan to keep, and the anti-Christ returns to his own land, with the hope of keeping the Super Powers off his back. But, in the third seal, he will attempt to do it again. In this seal, Israel is still experiencing peace. The only thing that troubles this country is the new Christian conversion that is happening within her own borders. Remember the 144,000 that are saved under this seal? But, at the same time the anti-Christ is becoming very popular in the Muslim world. He has also gained the attention of the Free World, who fear his rise of power. What amazes everyone is his ability to recover from the deadly wound that his power has received in the past. They never thought that he would ever rise to power again. 5: And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast
say, Come and see------- Here are the names of the third group of sons born under the banner of the face of a man, the meanings of their names, and what their mothers said when they were born. By looking at these three sons, we are able to see what is happening to Israel, during the third seal in Revelation 6. Reuben’s name means, "behold a son." At his birth his mother said,
"Surely the Lord hath looked upon my affliction; now, therefore, my
husband will love me." (Gen. 29:32 ) This seal will be the beginning of sorrows for Israel. But, what they
do not know is that God will turn their sorrow to JOY. During this seal
Israel will be invaded by the Rueben, behold a son, was Jacob’s first born, the shadow of the first fruit. This name tells us what happens to the 144,000 in this seal. They become the first fruits of the people who are saved in the Nation of Israel. The Antichrist invades Israel with the intent to kill all the sons of Abraham, but Satan has sent him there with the hope of killing the 144,000. God catches away the 144,000 to get them out of harm’s way, and helps the rest of Israel to escape. They will be sealed from the plagues to come and will then return to preach the Gospel among the nations of the Antichrist. There will be some born-again Jews who will stay in Israel to die for the name of Jesus, and they will do it willingly, as a testimony for the Lord. At Reuben’s birth, his mother said, "Surely the Lord hath looked upon my affliction; now, therefore, my husband will love me." God does look upon Israel’s affliction, and He DOES love her. The name Simeon means hearing. His mother said, "Because the Lord has heard that I was hated, He hath therefore given me this son also." God hears the hatred that these nations have for Israel under this seal. He rewards her for her suffering and distress, by saving her children, who become born again in a Gentile land, that He has prepared for this purpose. When Gad, whose name means "fortune" was born, his mother said, "A troop cometh." In the Bible a troop is an army. Here we see the invasion of Israel by the Antichrist. God has seen and heard the things that are happening to Israel, and does something about it. In Revelation 12, the Bible tells us that Israel escapes to a place in the wilderness for three and one half years, where she is protected from the face of the dragon during this time. And, she will also find salvation through the Blood of Jesus. Israel does find a fortune worth more than all the silver and gold in the world; the riches of the Gentiles that Paul spoke about, JESUS CHRIST. The Bible says that she escapes upon the two wings of a great eagle. In Ezekiel 17, the Bible uses eagles as a way to describe great nations with power. I believe that the eagle in Revelation 12 that rescues Israel, will be the United States of America. 5.------------And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. 6: And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. In the third seal, announced by the face of a man, we see his further rise to power. The black horse in this seal is the horse of famine. Food becomes an issue in the Middle East. The rider on this horse is also the Antichrist. He will use this famine to rise even higher among the Muslim people. He will become a very terrible power under this seal, and will gain much support from the nations who begin to think that he is more than a man. By the end of this third seal he will invade Israel and declare that he is the Messiah. At this point allow me to share with you what the Muslim people believe. They, for the most part, believe that they are descendants of Ishmael, Abraham’s son born to the bondwoman. They believe that they are God’s chosen people, and the Children of Israel are impostors. They believe that Jesus was merely a prophet, not the Son of God. That, when Jesus spoke of another comforter who was to come to lead us into all truth and righteousness, He was talking about Mohammed. Mohammed came to these people declaring to be the one about whom Jesus had spoken. They believe this! They believe in the same God of Abraham that we do but refuse to believe that Jesus is the Son of God. They believe that Mohammed came with the real truth. The more radical among them believe that God wants to destroy every Jew and anyone who does not accept Mohammed. Their dream is that God will send Mohammed back to them to conquer the world, and to destroy every last Jew from the face of the earth. In John 16:2, Jesus told Israel, "whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service." It is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost to believe that Mohammed is the comforter that would come. Does this sound like anti-Christ to you? They believe that Americans are devils. In this third seal, the lack of food becomes the issue, especially in the areas that the Antichrist has been fighting. War always brings famine. We see him on the black horse with balances in his hand. He believes that he has the right to decide who lives and who dies. Many people’s lives, during this seal, will be in the balances of the Antichrist. He begins to kill anyone in his own kingdom, and in the other nations who are his allies, who do not totally give their loyalty to him. He comes up with a mark for people to identify their allegiance to him. If they refuse this mark, they will not be able to buy or sell food. They will starve to death. He will put a price on the heads of anyone that are Christians or Jews, "a measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny." He is making a severe mistake, because he is tampering with God’s harvest! He is about to be weighed in God’s balances! At this point he is not nearly as powerful as he would like to be. He realizes that the king of the south is not going to keep his promises, so he attempts to invade them again. Remember that I said the king of the south could be Saudi Arabia? Daniel 11:29-30: Whoever they are, they are very powerful, and put fear in the heart of the anti-Christ. He returns to his own land without a confrontation. He becomes very angry about having signed the peace covenant with Israel. There is something about that covenant that includes these people from Chittim. He probably thinks these people should mind their own business. He feels that since he has agreed to a treaty with Israel, this country that has come against him should not interfere with his plans. He also knows that Israel is very important to these people. Since he is afraid to fight this powerful nation, he decides to hurt them, out of spite, by breaking the treaty and invading Israel! Does it not sound to you that it is possible for these ships to be from the United States? It says also in this scripture he has intelligence with them that forsake the Holy Covenant. This is not talking about a bunch of backslidden Christians, as some would suppose. But, it is talking about those nations who signed the peace treaty at the same time the anti-Christ did. They had guaranteed Israel peace for seven years. He secretly contacts these nations, and, because of a former league with him, they decide to help him fight his enemies. Daniel 11:31: In Revelation 12:3, compared to the beast in Revelation 13:1, we can tell how many nations have joined up with the anti-Christ. This same time period, in Daniel 11:31, is the same time period as Revelation 12:6 that Satan is cast out of the heavenly atmosphere (principalities and spiritual wickedness in high places), into the nations of the anti-Christ. The dragon in Revelation 12:3 has seven crowns, compared to ten crowns on the beast at a later date. These seven crowns represent kings, or nation’s leaders. The anti-Christ will possibly use the nation of Syria, who is very powerful right now, to invade Israel. Let’s picture this for a moment: if the anti-Christ does invade Saudi Arabia, the ships from the United States and her allies will move into the Persian Gulf to protect Arabia. They will be strategically correct for the defense of Arabia, but will be completely out of place for the defense of Israel, which sets on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. We will be at least a thousand miles from Israel, and that by air. In order to get our ships in position for Israel’s defense, we would have to leave the Persian Gulf, cross the Arabian Sea, enter into the Red Sea, and come through the Suez Canal into the Mediterranean Sea, to become strategically helpful to Israel. That distance, by sea, is at least two and one half to three thousand miles. And, if the Syrian army invades Israel, it will take everyone by surprise. At the most, we will only be able to send some air support to try to slow down the invasion. But, God will help Israel this time! If the king of the south happens to be the nation of Egypt, then the position of the United States Fleet will be in the Mediterranean Sea. This will interfere with their helping Israel, because Israel will be driven out of their land before anyone can stop it from happening. It is also possible that from the time the Antichrist has been driven out by the ships of Chittim (the United States), that here will be a time element before he has intelligence with the other nations and invades Israel. He may wait until the United States Fleet leaves the Middle East and goes home to America, before he launches an invasion against Israel. Either way, we will be hindered from stopping the invasion. But, we will be able to help rescue Israel from Jordan, and the other areas to which they have escaped. How do I know that these events occur in the third seal? Look at the name Gad, under the banner of the face of a man. His mother said, "a troop cometh." His name meant fortune. Israel is going to escape to a land that God has prepared for her, and she will find her fortune (Christ), there. It is Satan’s plan to catch the 144,000 in Israel during this invasion. But, when they get there, the 144,000 are gone. God has caught up these 144,000 Jews to Himself in order to seal them from the plagues to come under the seven trumpets and seven vials of wrath. They do not receive new bodies at this time because this is not the resurrection of the dead. These men will do something that no man has ever done before. Because of some kind of hindrance, we will not be able to make much of a difference in Israel’s defense. But our ships, wherever they are, will get there as fast as they can, but only in time to help evacuate Israel’s masses. When they are invaded from the North, Israel will have no place to go except the sea, or east into the land of Jordan. It is there, in Jordan, that Israel will be rescued by two wings of a great eagle told about in Revelation 12:14. In Ezekiel 17 we can see by God’s shadows, that eagles are a shadow of great, swift, powerful nations. Our ships, which I believe are the ships of Chittim in Daniel 11, will rescue Israel from Jordan. We will rescue everyone except military personnel, who remain to try to retake Israel. We will also leave our troops there to help. Daniel 11:41 says this, concerning the anti-Christ: He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. These people form the nation of Jordan. With our forces in Jordan, we will form a defensive from the Red Sea and Jordan across the nation of Saudi Arabia. But, we will be encountering a fierce enemy. 7: And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of
the fourth beast say, Come and see. Dan’s name means, "judging." And Rachel said, God hath judged me, and
hath also heard my voice, and hath given me a son: therefore called she
his name Dan. (Gen. 30:6) The name of Dan is very important. His name means judging. This is what God is going to do during this fourth seal. Dan’s banner, which was the ruling banner, was the flying Eagle. Rachel said God has judged me and has heard my voice and given me a son. Israel will escape the Antichrist on two wings of a great Eagle (Rev.12: 14). This will lead to the salvation of Israel and just like Rachel they will no longer be barren. This seal leads up to the rapture and the Second Advent with the battle of Armageddon. There will be seven judgments that will fall on the Antichrist starting somewhere around the middle of the Tribulation. They will fall periodically on the Antichrist and his nations during the last 3 ½ years. These judgments will end with the seventh Seal, the seventh Trumpet and seventh vial of Wrath. Then Christ himself will judge the nations. The name Naphtali means wrestlings of God. When he was born his mother said, "With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister, and I have prevailed." Israel has wrestled with God from the very time that they decided they wanted a monarch in Israel. Just like Jacob, who wrestled way up into the night and finally prevailed. This wrestling that Israel has in this seal is with the Gentile Church and the Gospel. When the Gentiles try to convince her, she wrestles with it, but finally accepts it. When she yields, she Wins! Just like Jacob! To me, it never seemed that Jacob had won, but, he said that he prevailed. In his wrestling, God touched the hollow of his thigh, and Jacob turned loose. God had crippled him, but Jacob said he had won. God changed Jacob’s walk, and renamed him Israel. I cannot help believing that if Jacob had believed God his name would have been changed just the same, but, he wrestled instead. Now that Israel has believed God, she will never be the same again. She wrestled, and God changed her walk with Him, forever. Now, remember this, she is in a Gentile land when this occurs. Then, she begins to preach the Gospel to the world! The sister in this prophecy is the Gentile Church. Paul said that the Gentiles received salvation to provoke the Jew to jealousy, and it worked. The next name under this seal is Asher, which means happy. His mother said, at his birth, "happy am I, for my sisters will call me blessed." For the past two thousand years Israel has been looked down upon. They have been treated like animals in many parts of the world. Now she is happy! She says her sisters will call her blessed. The sisters she is referring to, are the born again nations that were promised to Abraham. The interesting thing about Asher's name is that it tells us how happy the Jews are to be saved. There is anticipation and an expectation of the coming of Jesus to gather the Church, and Israel is part of that church. They will realize that they are getting closer and closer to getting to go back to the land of Israel. When Christ returns he will reign from Jerusalem on the seat of David, and all the nations are rejoicing with Israel. She will be crowned with happiness! In Zephaniah 3:30, it says: Israel will no longer be the tail, but will be the head, just as the scriptures say. Isaiah 29:22-23 says: Micah 4:6-7: By these prophetic events through the names taken from Genesis, we are able to clearly see that the first four seals of Revelation 6 cover the whole seven-year period. We have seen Israel’s travail, her childbirth to God, and her triumph as the nation from which Christ will rule the earth. Does it seem so strange that God would tell us in the first book of the Bible what would happen in the last book? Listen to this scripture in Isaiah 46:9-10: Remember the former things of old; for I am God and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me. Declaring the end from the beginning, and from the ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying my counsel shall stand, and I will do my pleasure. 8: And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat
on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto
them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with
hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. This verse tells us several things about the Antichrist. He is the rider on the pale horse. He has changed horses again, and will ride this horse to his own destruction at Armageddon. He will bring death to those who oppose him, and all those who are joined to him. He does not ride any more horses after this. This is his last horse. It changes in this scripture from the word him to them. They are given power over a fourth part of the earth. This is talking about the ten nations who are allied with him. During this last three and one half years all the power he is ever given is a fourth part of the earth. In Revelation 13:7-8, it tells us that he is given power over all the nations, kindreds, and tongues. That all that dwell on the earth, who do not worship him, will be killed. This is simply saying that he will not spare anyone. No matter what your nationality happens to be He will have no mercy. Every person in the fourth part of the earth that he conquers will have to take the mark of the beast and worship him or they will be killed. Now, remember this, Israel will escape to a land that God has prepared for her, from the face of the dragon. He will not have power over these people who escape to safety. In Daniel 11:41, it says, ‘but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.’ He fights wars till the coming of Jesus Christ. He will have to conquer in order to enforce the mark, but he does not conquer all. It has to mean only in his kingdom, the fourth part of the earth. In Revelation 6:8, it says that he is given power to kill with the sword. The sword is talking about his weapons of warfare. Thousands of people will die in that part of the world because of his armies. Satan gives him his ability to be a strategic, military genius. We have never fought an enemy like this! He will suffer losses, but will never be defeated, till Jesus comes back at Armageddon. In Revelation 6:8, it says that he is given power to kill with hunger. There will be great famine in that part of the world. His armies will confiscate all food goods, and only sell to the people who swear allegiance to him, and take a mark in their hand to prove it. If they do not receive this mark they will starve to death. In Revelation 6:8, it also says that he is given power to kill with death. What is this death with which he is able to kill? It will be the same mark that I just told you about. Revelation 14:9-10: And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in this forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. There will be no fence straddling. If a person takes the mark, he will be destroyed by Christ at His coming. If a person refuses to take the mark, the Antichrist will kill him, or let him starve; it is one kind of death or another. If they refuse the mark, they will find everlasting life, but will become martyrs for Christ. He kills with death. In Revelation 6:8, it says that he is given power to kill with the beasts of the earth. In this scripture, God calls the people who willingly help the Antichrist kill thousands of innocent people, "animals." And, like wild animals that are destructive, they will be destroyed by Christ at His return. Revelation 13 tells us about the Antichrist during the same time period as the fourth seal, the last three and one half years. The same time from the beginning of the fourth seal to the Battle of Armageddon. In Revelation 12, we see the dragon with ten horns, seven heads, and seven crowns. In Revelation 13, we see the beast with ten horns, seven heads, and ten crowns. At the invasion of Israel, which is at the middle of the seven year tribulation, the anti-Christ only has seven nations with him, that all wholeheartedly give their allegiance to him. He will conquer three more nations and places. His own leaders will be kings over these nations. These nations will be Egypt, Libya, and Ethiopia. In Daniel 11:42-43, it shows this take over. He then controls ten nations, as we can tell by the ten crowns on the beast in Revelation 13. We know who some of these countries are from the Bible. The nations of Babylon (Iraq), Persia (Iran), and Syria will be some of these nations. I believe that Greece. Bulgaria, Afghanistan, and Turkey will join him willingly. The false prophet joins forces with the Antichrist during the last three and one half years. Although the Pope of Rome will probably be the false prophet, the ayatollah from Iran will no doubt influence many Muslims to believe that the anti-Christ is Mohammed, the Messiah, raised from the dead. All will worship him. Because of the anti-Christ’s great military victories, which they will believe are miracles, the Muslim people will believe that he is God. During this time there will be a religious group that claims Christianity, who will join up with him. They have the hope of profiting through his rise to power. He will let them ride for a while, but will eventually destroy them. You will find this in the 17th chapter of Revelation. The Bible calls this group of people the harlot. They have killed many true believers in Christ, down through the centuries. Their main city is the city of Rome, and Rome will be destroyed during this last three and one half years. Daniel 11:40-41: There are several things in these scriptures that I would like for you to notice. The first thing is, at the time of the end, means right at the end of the seven years. Next, that the king of the south (possibly Saudi Arabia or Egypt), and the king of the north (possibly Russia), will come against him. Many people teach that the anti-Christ is Russia, because the Bible calls him the king of the north, and Russia is the farthest north country above Israel. Russia is north of Israel all right, but there are several other countries north of Israel. Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Turkey? This king from the north who invades the Antichrist lives farther north than the Antichrist. It will be Russia who fears the power of this person. But they, along with the king of the south, will be pushed back by fierce resistance from the anti-Christ armies. He will enter their lands. There is something else I would like to bring to your attention. In Daniel 11:41 it says, He shall also enter into the glorious land. This is Israel being invaded again. This tells us that during this last three and one half years, sometime during this period, the anti-Christ has been forced out of Israel since his first invasion at the middle of the tribulation. In Micah 5:3-6, it tells us that during the time that Israel accepts Jesus as Saviour, that God would raise seven shepherds to defend the land of Israel. These shepherds are the nations who take it upon themselves to take care of Israel. The eight principal men are the leaders of these countries along with Jesus, who will drive the Assyrian army that occupies Israel completely out of Israel, across Lebanon, through Syria, all the way to Iraq. These nations will be the Israeli army, the United States, and her allies. But, at the time of the end, we will be driven back. (The Assyrians and Babylonians come from present day Iraq.) At this time, China enters into the war with a very great army, coming from the east, crossing the river Euphrates, into the valley of Megido, in northern Israel. Daniel 11:44, But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: China is to the east. What troubles the anti-Christ is this: he hears about the approach of the Chinese army, but he does not know for sure whether they are with him, or against him. The Russian army in the north will probably make another offensive against him. He destroys much of the Russian army, and to his relief, finds out that the Chinese are on his side. This will give him great boldness and he brings his armies to Megido. The Chinese feel that the United States should stay out of other nations’ affairs, and sees this as an opportunity to teach us a lesson, and to establish herself as the world Super Power. God has gathered all the enemies of Israel together, just as He said He would. In Zechariah 12:3: And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut to pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered against it. Zechariah 12:9: Zechariah 14:2: Many teachers believe that every nation in the world is going to come to Jerusalem to fight at Armageddon. I don’t really know if they realize how absurd this is. Do you think that Zaire, Peru, Mexico, Honduras, Madagascar, the Philippines, and New Zealand, plus many, many other countries like this are going to raise armies and converge on Israel? My first question would be why? In Zechariah 12:3, God has told us that He would cut to pieces every nation that is against Jerusalem. He also included in that scripture; though all the people of the earth be gathered against it. God is saying even if it were every nation in the world. What does this tell you? It means that not every nation is going to come against Jerusalem, but if they did, He would cut them to pieces. In Zechariah 12:9 God has told us that He would seek to destroy all the nations that do come against Israel. In Zechariah 14:2, God continues to say that He is going to gather all these nations who are against His people to battle. He is doing this to destroy them. Most teachers believe that this scripture is saying that He will bring these nations against Jerusalem, but it is saying that all the nations who are against Jerusalem will be brought together for battle . This will occur at Armageddon. There is something else that has occurred to me, and I wonder why no one has ever mentioned it? It is common knowledge that Israel will escape the Antichrist to go to a place in the wilderness for three and one half years. Did it ever occur to you that at the time of the end of this period, when God brings Israel’s enemies to battle that Israel will not be home? Remember, they are in the wilderness being fed for three and a half years? Who have Israel’s enemies come to fight? If Israel isn’t home, why are so many nations coming to the nation of Israel to fight? They are coming to fight the good nations who have been fighting against the Antichrist nations, the seven shepherds in Micah 5:5. Israel will have an army there for sure, but most of Israel will be in other parts of the world, taking the Gospel to lost souls. What would be so threatening to these other nations? Why would they feel that they must come against Israel in such large numbers? Israel’s allies are the reason. The enemies of Israel fear Israel’s allies. This is the bait that God will use to bring these enemies down in such large numbers. They will feel able to destroy Israel, the Americans and their allies in one massive blow. Their attack will be somewhat successful because the scriptures tell us that part of the city of Jerusalem will be taken captive at that time. Which means that the Antichrist will have a little success. But it will be short lived. God will surprise these armies by rapturing the Church. Fortunately, because of God’s promise, most of the allies and Israel’s armies will be raptured too, by this time. God will have saved these people through faith in Jesus. These armies will return with Jesus along with all the other believers, to destroy the Antichrist and his armies at Armageddon. 9: And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar
the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the
testimony which they held: These souls under the altar represent all the righteous dead that Antichrist has killed during the last 3 ½ years and all the righteous dead that have ever given their lives for God. These are people who have paid the ultimate price for their faith in God. The altar that these souls are under is a sacrificial altar, just like the one that was used in the tabernacle to burn sacrifices to God. When a sacrifice was burned up the ashes fell into the bottom of the altar. This was all that was left over, ashes. This is why God is showing the souls under the altar. These people gave up their lives, their bodies, as a sacrifice to God, only leaving their souls. God showed us this in this manner because He wanted us to see that they had paid a sacrifice. There are no souls in heaven without bodies. Paul said that we would receive a heavenly body in heaven. There are no disembodied spirits floating around, other than Satan’s demons, and they are constantly trying to get into you or me. 10: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord,
holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell
on the earth? 11: And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was
said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their
fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they
were, should be fulfilled. 12: And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo,
there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of
hair, and the moon became as blood; This seal will begin with a great, gigantic earthquake. We see this same earthquake in a number of scriptures in other places in Revelation and the Old and New Testaments. Rv:11:13: And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven. Rv:16:18: And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. Isa:13:13: Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. Hag:2:6: For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; Hag:2:7: And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. The Earthquake that occurs in this seal is triggered by the Rapture of the Church. This is the same moment that we see in the 11th chapter when the two witnesses are ascend up to heaven in view of the Antichrist nations. This Earthquake will be so strong that it will cause the Earth to temporarily lose its place in orbit. A tenth part of the city of Jerusalem will be destroyed at this time killing seven thousand of the people of Antichrist who have taken part of the city captive. The heavens and earth will be shaken in one giant moment of power from God almighty. Mountains and islands will be destroyed by this earthquake. At the same time the sun becomes black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon becomes as blood. We see this same event in Matthew 24:29. Matt. 24:29, Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: This is the same as the scriptures in Acts 2: 19-20 which was taken from the book of Joel. 19: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: 20: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: Notice the comparisons about these scriptures. They are all speaking of the same events. Revelation 6:12 says it like the book of Acts 2:20 that the moon would become as blood, whereas Matthew 24:29 says that the moon shall not give her light. This is all speaking of the same event that happens to the moon. If the moon becomes as blood, it would be impossible for her to give her light. Matthew 24:29 says that the sun would be darkened, this agrees with Acts 2:20 which says that the sun would be turned to darkness, whereas Revelation 6:12 says that the sun would become black as sackcloth of hair. This is all one and the same, if the sun becomes black as sackcloth of hair it would most certainly be darkened. This is all a look at the shaking of the heavens and the earth that the prophet Isaiah spoke of. Isa:13:13: Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. 13: And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig
tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty
wind. Matt. 24:29 14: And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled
together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their
places. Matt. 24:30 15: And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich
men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and
every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the
mountains; Matt. 24:30 Isa:2:19: And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the
caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his
majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. All of the tribes of the earth is referring to all of those who have not accepted Jesus as their savior to be saved. The reason they want to hide themselves is because of their shame. They will feel naked and exposed because their conscience will stand against them. 16: And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us
from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the
Lamb: 17: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able
to stand? The following chapter, chapter seven, is included in the sixth seal and will show the great company of souls that are saved at the Rapture and Resurrection of the Church. The seventh seal is only one verse long in the eighth chapter. It is thirty minutes of silence in heaven as Christ destroys the Armies at Armageddon on the earth. God Bless You |
