The Bear And The Lion Join Hands

It is amazing to watch Bible Prophecy come together right in front of our eyes. Things that were hard to imagine a few years ago suddenly spring forth. The Bear of Daniel 7 and the Bear’s feet on the Beast in Revelation the 13th chapter represent the nation of Iran. The Lion in Daniel 7 along with the Lion’s mouth on the Beast in Revelation the 13th chapter represent the nation of Babylon, now known to the world as Iraq. Before it is all over the Beast will have come together to form the ten nation confederacy that the Bible speaks about. I know this must be a surprise to many but not to God who knows all things from the beginning of creation.

Now Iran and Iraq are coming together, the Bear and the Lion. When Iranian president Ahmedinajad came to Iraq he was welcomed with red carpet treatment by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki of Iraq and many others. This happened along with much amazement to the American people and the nations of the West that do not understand what is taking place. After all the insurgents in Iraq are killing innocents and trying to wipe out American soldiers being financed and armed by Iran. Some of these insurgents are Iranians. How could this be happening? How could Iraq go to bed with the enemy? It wasn’t that many years ago that Iraq and Iran were engaged in a terrible war. A war that caused over a million deaths seems to be forgotten amidst the brotherly embracing of these world leaders. It seems that they see the world from a whole new point of view.

Liz Sly a correspondent for the Chicago Tribune had this to say: "Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was greeted with hugs and kisses on the first day of his historic visit to Iraq on Sunday, marking a dramatic break with the past for the two former foes and a new challenge to U.S. influence in Iraq.
The grandeur of the visit was a stark contrast to the rushed, secretive trips made in the past to Iraq by President Bush, signaling that Iran is now a dominant player in Iraq's affairs, despite the U.S. occupation and the U.S.-led efforts to isolate the Iranian regime."......

There is a reason that this is able to happen and to be honest it is alarming when we realize how this was made possible. The United States feeling that Saddam Hussein was a threat to the West because of the false information that they had received from the CIA and other sources determined that they needed to destroy Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq. Little did they know that they would be opening a door for the anti-Christ nations to begin to form.

There are several things in recent years that give us cause to raise an eyebrow over situations created by the United States. One of these things is the recent support of the U.S. to give Kosovo over to the Muslims. It doesn't make a lot of sense but believe me God knows what is in the mix. God uses nations to bring about the things that he wants to accomplish. When the United States invaded Iraq and took out Saddam Hussein an evil man was removed that was treating people in an inhuman demonic way. It was God's will for this to happen. This invasion also placed the United States in a strategic position that possibly saved Israel at one point over the next few years. There were other things about to take place in that part of the world that we didn't know about.

A couple of years ago the Hezbollah began to fire rockets into Israel. This attack was financed and provided by the support of Iran and Syria. When Israel began to resist other Muslim nations began to rise up in anger. It is a very high possibility that Iran, Syria as well as some other Muslim nations would have invaded Israel at that time to support Hezbollah except for one thing. The United States along with other allies were stationed right in the middle of all of this turmoil. By being there, the Allies became a roadblock that would prevent Iran from storming across Iraq and Syria invading the tiny nation of Israel. It is a well-known fact that the president of Iran has openly declared his hatred and disqust for Israel breathing out threats to completely wipe Israel off of the face of the earth. He means to do this and there is no doubt that eventually this will be attempted. It is just a matter of time.

Now the only thing preventing the invasion of Israel is the fact that the United States is in occupation of Iraq standing as a guardian against this. In the course of the invasion of Iraq there is so much destruction from the battles that Iraq's infrastructure is still in dis-array. The United States and others have worked feverishly trying to help rebuild but with a constant attack from their enemies slowing down the progress it is a task that is still an on going process. Now Iran has stepped into the picture and is rebuilding power plants and other things in Southern Iraq trying to show the Iraqis their concern for them by helping to create and restore their infrastructure. Once the United States and her allies leave Iraq there is going to be a dramatic change in world conditions, especially when it comes to the safety of Israel. Once we leave it will be an open highway from Iran all the way to Israel supported by all the nations of that part of the world.

Now that the presidential election in America is over this all could escalate rapidly. Now that Obama is President we could see America leaving Iraq very soon. Whether this happens under his leadership or later it will eventually happen. When this happens I believe that it will be the fulfillment of Bible Prophecy. In 2nd Thessalonians the Bible speaks of a power that holds back the revealing of the anti-Christ. In other words something that prevents him from coming to power in the eyes of man. I believe that the United States and her allies is that force that is preventing the coming together of these nations to form the Beast. It will be at that time that their Mahdi or Messiah will come into action.

Sometimes we as Christians fail to realize that most of the time God uses earthly means to accomplish earthly purposes. He has used men and nations to perform his plan and purpose from the very beginning. I believe that we are drawing closer to the end than most of us realize. We must be ready in our heart as that day draws closer.

According to the Hadith, which is Muslim teachings, their Mahdi will give Israel a seven-year peace treaty and make them an offer to accept the teachings of Islam. According to their teaching eventually every nation in the world will have to accept the teachings of Muhammed and of the Quran or be killed. This will all be a part of their plan to bring world peace. When the entire world comes under Shariah Law then there will be world peace. The stage is being set for the end times and act one is in the making.
