Wars and Rumors of Wars

Jesus spoke these words in Matthew: 24:6:
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

As we look around us in modern times it is clear to see if we are looking at the world stage that wars are looming on the horizon. Israel in the skirmish between Hezbollah in 2007 and Hamas just recently ended with disappointing results that most Christians didn't expect to see. After Israel retaliated over the rocket fire hoping to put and end to it, it keeps on coming. Things are going to become more fearful as the end approaches, but Jesus said not to be troubled. Luke's version of this statement said that we should not be terrified. And as the days draw closer and closer to the end, we can see why he said not to be worried or afraid. The distress of nations that is upon the earth today is according to scripture and can be horrifying if we dwell on them in our minds. But Jesus said not to be troubled. Jesus wants us to trust in him completely during these last days and as the time approaches for his return that we should actually be able to rejoice. He told us to lift up our heads because our redemption is close at hand.

One of the things that we must bear in mind is that God is still in control of the nations and only allows them to go so far. In Acts: 17:26: we read:
And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

What this scripture is saying is that God has made all nations from one man Adam, and that it is God that has determined the lengths and times of the nations including how much territory they possess. In Daniel we see this with a little more enlightenment.
Daniel 4:35: And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

The stability of nations has gradually deteriorated because of the rise of power in the Far and Middle East. It seems by all indications that there will eventually be a powerful showdown between the East and West for power over the earth. Hatred for America and Israel are a constant provocation brought on by the Eastern Powers. North Korea now possesses nuclear weapons and Iran is in the process of making their own. No matter what we do to stop this they continue onward without fear because of their resolve to over-power Western Civilization. China already has nuclear weapons and is continually growing stronger in arms and weapons of warfare. We are concerned that North Korea may destroy South Korea or Japan. We are concerned that China is going to invade Thailand or Indo-China. Russia and China both seem to support Iran as it pushes ahead to become a World Super-Power.

What many of us believed concerning the European Union and it's League of Nations we see is beginning to dissolve by a new threat that is hanging over the world like a black cloud. England, France and Germany the three major powers of the EU are being invaded by Muslim immigration that has behind it a motive to either convert or kill the inhabitants of the European nations. The EU lacks the courage to stand up for itself and will someday call on the United States to help them against this progressively growing threat of being destroyed. The EU is constantly criticizing us, as being the troublemakers but the day will come that they will seek our help. The so-called nations of the Antichrist made up of European nations will never exist because they lack the guts and courage to even defend themselves let alone be aggressive to the rest of the world. They are only interested in making money and promoting socialism. They are being over run by Muslims who intend to conquer them, and they will conquer them if they do not wake up.

Looking at a one-world government is impossible to see in the future other than the one-world government that Jesus establishes when he returns to reign during the millennial reign. We have read the views of those who say that there will be ten world divisions that will be the nations of the Antichrist. The problem with this theory is that it is full of holes. They are able to describe the seven heads as being the seven continents and that out of these seven heads will proceed ten divisions of the world to rule under the authority of the Antichrist. Yet they never explain why the beast in Revelation the 13th Chapter has a lions mouth, bears feet and a leopards body. The lion's mouth is Iraq, the bear's feet are Iran and the Leopard's body is Egypt, Syria, old Macedonia and Thrace. This is according to the book of Daniel. Fit that into the equation and you have nothing but confusion. The reason is because a ten division, World Empire is not going to happen. There is one thing that does fit into this equation and that is that the Muslims nations are determined to become a one-world Government instituting Islamic, Shariah Law.

God has our nation in the right place today doing its job in Iraq, but with Obama in power that will soon change. Our intent was to turn Iraq into a democracy to strengthen democracy in the Middle East but somehow this will fail. Why? Because out of Iraq will come the roaring voice of the nations of the Antichrist, the mouth of the lion on the Beast. Maybe we will leave and Iraq will be taken over by Islamic extremists or maybe they will vote in leaders who will ally themselves with the other Muslim countries. However this happens it will happen. The bear's feet of Iran will be the means to go forth with their attempt to conquer the West. Just as feet are for walking and supports our bodies to carry us from place to place the wealth and power of Iran will bring about the ability for the beast and his powers to mobilize.

Strategically America is positioned in Iraq, seated between Israel and Iran. In 2007 in the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel our presence in Iraq was a wall that prevented Iran from invading Israel along with the Hezbollah and their supporters. In recent months when Israel retaliated against the Hamas for their repeated rocket attacks our presence in that part of the world was still a determining factor. As long as we are anywhere in the Middle East it will slow down the progress of the nations of the Antichrist. Our presence in Afghanistan is part of this slow down. The nations in the Middle East are buying time for now and are getting stronger all the time. It is my opinion that with our new President and with his world views that this could come even faster than expected.

The body of the Beast in Revelation 13 was that of the Leopard. Daniel told us that these nations would be the four nations of Alexander. They were Egypt, Syria, Macedonia and Thrace. The nations of Egypt will be in this league made by the anti-Christ along with Syria. We all know Syria's position and what nations they will support if it were to come to a showdown to destroy Israel. Macedonia and Thrace have been changed into Turkey and Greece. There are two other nations that some of these people live in today and they are Bulgaria and Yugoslavia. The only other nation that is left out of this group of seven nations from the book of Daniel is Italy. It's capital is the city of Rome and it is this city and it's nation along with the other six nations that make up the seven heads on the Beast in Revelation 13th chapter. It will be these original seven nations along with three others that will make up the ten nations of the Antichrist. These ten nations will be the leading powers of a unified Muslim people but all the nations of the Muslim belief will support these ten nations. The Bible says that he is given power over a fourth part of the earth. This will be that part of the earth. Italy will become part of this league because of it's fear that Islam will do away with the Catholic Religion in that part of the World and will feel that it is in it's best interest to join up with the Muslims rather than stand against them.

Wars and rumors of wars will continue until the time the stage is set that will fulfill Bible prophecy. But, even after the stage is set wars will continue until the final war at Armageddon. It is there that these wicked nations will be destroyed. It will be wars and rumors of wars that will cause the final treaty to be signed by Israel and it's enemies. This treaty will be the beginning of the Tribulation period. During the first part of this time the Antichrist with one of his nations will invade a nation that the Bible calls the king of the South he will win a victory and capture a lot of military equipment and wealth to take back home to his country. This will cause the nations in the West to go to the negotiation table with him but he will ignore their talks and invade that country again. This time many ships from the West, the United States, will come against him. He will become angry and return to his country because he will fear that he is not strong enough to take on America. However when everything settles and the ships from America leave the Antichrist will call on six other Muslim countries and together they invade Israel. They will do this as a full measure of spite against the United States.

These nations will occupy Israel for a short period of time. Only long enough for the Antichrist to declare himself to be God and to divide the nation of Israel and share it with his Muslim friends. This will be in gratitude of their service to him. But the stay will be short lived because the ships from the West will return along with them will be six other countries. These nations will drive the Antichrist and his nations out of Israel all the way back to the river Euphrates. There the Battle will continue with millions of people being killed on both sides.

It is at this point that the Antichrist will talk the nations of the East into coming to help him defeat the Western Powers. North Korea and China will respond to this call for help by bringing with them a 200 million-man army to defeat the West. This move will drive the United States and her allies all the way back to the city of Jerusalem where half of the city will be divided by both armies. It is at this moment in history that the war to end all wars will take place when Christ and his armies from heaven will ascend upon the armies of the Antichrist and destroy them all. If we live long enough we will be able to see all of these events take place along with other events that we are unable to see at this time. But be of good courage God will take care of us through them. When God poured out his plagues on the Egyptians to deliver the children of Israel, he poured out ten plagues. While these plagues rained down on the Egyptians they never once touched a single person that was a child of Israel. His wrath will never touch his own people.
